Maternity Voices Partnership Liverpool (LMVP)

Liverpool Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) is a service user centred NHS working group, supporting the development of local maternity and neonatal services.

The MVP is a multi-disciplinary team made up of:

  • Those who provide maternity care – healthcare professionals
  • Those who fund maternity care – commissioners
  • And those who use maternity and/or neonatal care – service users, and their families

We work together as a team using your feedback to develop and improve maternity and neonatal services in Liverpool.

You can find more information about what an MVP is via the National Maternity Voices website: nationalmaternityvoices.org.uk .

Message from the Chair

Hi, I’m Mahdieh Irvine-Naderali, the Chair of Liverpool MVP.  I'm a local service user with two young children, both of whom were born at Liverpool Women’s Hospital, in 2018 and 2021. I’m a lay-person – which means that I am not a healthcare professional. Prior to being appointed as Chair, I was a volunteer Service User Representative for the MVP for over two years.

My first maternity journey in 2017-18 was a life-changing set of experiences for me which sparked a new interest in maternity and neonatal service improvement. I am truly passionate about working with everyone in the local maternity and neonatal sector to build on what is working well, and to improve what is not, and to do that, I need your help! I want to hear anything you are happy to share about your maternity and/or neonatal experience.

You can contact the MVP via:

Service User Representatives

Liverpool MVP are currently looking to expand our team of volunteer service user representatives. Service user representatives are people who have used local maternity and/or neonatal services themselves within the last five years, and who volunteer to represent the interests of patients and their families in the development of services, providing a service user 'voice'. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer service user representative, or you would like any more information about Liverpool MVP, please contact Mahdieh, the MVP chair, via e-mail at: mvp.liverpool.voices@gmail.com
