Liverpool Women's Hospital Charity celebrates the hospital's 25th Birthday
As you can imagine this pandemic has had a huge devastating effect on the charity’s fundraising and events. This year was meant to be a year of celebration as we celebrate our 25th birthday. We would still very much like to celebrate the anniversary. To do this we are asking everyone (particularly our supporters) to host their own birthday parties, picnics, BBQs in the comfort of their home to help celebrate the Liverpool Women’s 25th birthday and raise vital funds and awareness for our Big Tiny Steps Appeal. Work is underway at Liverpool Women’s to build a bigger, better, Neonatal facility to better support the babies and families beginning their journey with us. The Big Tiny Steps Appeal aims to raise £250,000 to provide the aspects of care not possible without NHS funding including accommodation for parents, sibling play area and somewhere to say goodbye. To add to the fun we will be running a cake competition where there will be a chance to win a fantastic prize for the best cake(s). Please submit your entry on the day using the hashtag #LWHCake or by emailing fundraising@lwh.nhs.uk If that wasn’t enough excitement we will also be hosting a quiz in the evening at 8pm featuring special guest celebrities and much-loved neonatal staff. Your support on this would mean the world to us and will make a big difference to the appeal, helping us to provide these important facilities for our most vulnerable babies and their families. Hopefully this one online event will aid our fundraising as we are currently struggling due to the virus. If you would like to receive a birthday pack which will contain fun materials to help you celebrate the birthday on the day then please download them from here. If you would like to do the quiz, you can purchase tickets here on Eventbrite: We look forward to you all being a part of this very special day for the Liverpool Women's.

University Hospitals of Liverpool Group: Stronger Together Programme Update
As you know, Liverpool’s five adult acute and specialist providers have been working together since last year on plans to develop a shared strategy and form a city-wide hospital group: NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group (UHL Group). Our individual hospitals have strong identities, distinct cultures and provide excellent care for patients each year. This will continue. Working as one Group will help us improve the things that don’t work as well while retaining the things that are great and can further strengthen our clinical services and benefit patients. This work has been progressing well and we all share an unwavering commitment to do things differently – to be bold, think big and be really ambitious about how we can deliver the best healthcare for our patients now and in the future. We are building on strong foundations and, together, we are forming a clear vision for the future.
