Here at the Donor Conceived Register we are able to offer you support from our team of counsellors as well as having access to valuable resources such as the Registrants Panel who run a closed Facebook group and provide newsletters.
We strongly encourage you to take advantage of our confidential counselling service (2 sessions are free and costed at £25 thereafter) which gives you the chance to talk things through in a way, and at a time, to suit you. This service is available to all DCR Registrants at any time, whether joining the DNA database or not. Sessions can be completed via telephone or online. Attend Anywhere
“Attend Anywhere collaborates with clinicians, hospitals and health systems, helping to offer patient video call access as a normal part of day-to-day operations.
For video call attendance to be a standard, everyday option, it must be painless for clinicians, no extra work for administrators, and simple for patients.
The goal is to mimic, as close as possible, the way things work today, without extra processes or resources.”
Liverpool Women's Hospital now offers the virtual clinic option for patients who engage with The Hewitt Fertility Centre counselling team.
The Trust is taking part in a national pilot study through NHS England along with over 40 other hospitals across the country. As part of this the Trust will be contributing to an online community of other NHS staff, allowing us to learn from each other and to enhance our services to the best of our abilities.
If you choose to utilise virtual clinics throughout your treatment, we would love to hear about your experiences and any suggestions for improvements. We can then share our findings with others.
