These patients may need extra support:

- looking at bygone memorabilia
- listening to music on a record player
- going for walks around the grounds
...are just some of the activities you and the patient can do together to help make their stay a more enjoyable one. View more information on the role here.
Full training and support is provided. If you or anyone you know are interested in this role please contact us on 0151 702 4368 or e-mail email@example.com quoting DCIF.
Other Volunteering Opportunities
Meet & Greet
Can you spare 4 hours each week, are you enthusiastic, eager to help others, aged between 16 and 100+ and have good communication skills? Yes! Then we would love you to join our Volunteer Meet and Greet Service at the Liverpool Women’s Hospital.
The Meet and Greet service core hours are: Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm.
The majority of our volunteering opportunities are subject to medical clearance, DBS check and two references. The recruitment process can usually takes between 1-3 months to complete; therefore we would only consider applications from individuals who intend to volunteer for 6 months and longer.
We have various volunteering opportunities that will suit the young and mature alike and welcome applications from people from all walks of life. We appreciate that some of you are considering employment in the Health Service or allied professions, and we aim to help people gain experience and insight into clinical areas working alongside support and clinical staff. Therefore every volunteer can request a transfer to a clinical area after completing 20 hours on Meet and Greet.
First thing to do is attend a Group Informal Chat. At these group sessions we talk about volunteering at Liverpool Women’s Hospital, and what qualities and skills you could bring to enhance our patients’ and visitors’ journey, along with what you hope to gain from the experience. To book a place on a Group Informal Chat and for more information telephone us on 0151 702 4368, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call in to see us, we’re on the second floor near Rosemary Ward.
Our office opening times are: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm.
We look forward to hearing from you.
