We have numerous volunteering roles available at the Liverpool Women's, but currently we're focussing on improving and expanding our Meet and Greet service, and are looking for people to join our friendly, dynamic and sociable volunteer team.
We pride ourselves as being the largest standalone Women's hospital in Europe and we're always looking for ways to improve our patients and visitors visit to the hospital.
Many patients can feel anxious and overwhelmed when they come to the hospital, especially if it's their first time. We'd like to help relieve some of those tensions & anxieties by having friendly, approachable and willing volunteers on hand near the entrances to meet and greet them as they arrive.
A friendly smile, a quick chat and someone to accompany them to their destination doesn’t seem a big deal, but to some of our patients it can make all the difference.
