Wanted Volunteers - Meeters and Greeters
If you can spare four hours each week to guide our patients and visitors to departments, are enthusiastic and have good communication skills, we would love to hear from you.
|Toni Jones – former Meet and Greet Volunteer, and Autumn, Volunteer of the Season 2015.|
Meet and Greet service core hours are: Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm.
N.B. Evening and weekend are not currently available, but may start in 2016.
As with the majority of our volunteering opportunities, the Meet and Greet role is subject to medical clearance, DBS check and two references. The recruitment process is quite stringent: the safety and wellbeing of our patients is important. It can take between 2-3 months to complete; therefore we would only consider applications from individuals who wish to volunteer for at least 6 months.
We appreciate that some of you are considering employment in the Health Service and Allied Professions, and are seeking experience and insight into working in clinical areas. Because of the large number of candidates currently going through the recruitment process, recruitment for volunteer roles in clinical areas is suspended until further notice. However, anyone who completes 48 hours of volunteering in the Meet and Greet role can request a transfer to a clinical area, subject to availability.
For an application pack, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. The pack is available in paper format, on request.
Should you require further information, or assistance with the application process, please contact the team on 0151 702 4368, or call into the office (situated in Main Reception), Monday to Thursday, 9am to 3pm.
