Eurovision Liverpool 2023

As you will be aware 100,000 visitors are expected to the city during Eurovision 2023, with the semi-finals taking place on Tuesday 9th and Thursday 11th May and the final on Saturday 13th May. Liverpool is also hosting a number of Eurovision themed event activities throughout the week.

Eurovision fans and local residents heading to Liverpool for the semi-finals and finals of the event have been given important health care and advice should they need it during their stay on Merseyside.

As LWH is the closest Trust to the M&S Arena and the Eurovision Village, you may find that there will be periods of significant congestion and delays, particularly for anyone who travels via the city centre itself or the surrounding area such as the tunnels. Please bear this in mind over the next few days when planning your journeys.

Don’t miss a beat during Eurovision 2023, by protecting yourself and your data!

One of the biggest identified risks for the NHS and partners during Eurovision, aside from the extra systems pressures, is around cyber security. Because of this, NHS Cheshire and Merseyside have launched a cyber security awareness campaign to help health and care staff and those taking part in Eurovision celebrations, to gain a better understanding of the threat of cybercrime, and the ways in which their actions can help/hinder these types of attacks.

To find out more about the campaign, learn about the four cyber security practices that you should have an awareness of, and how you can help the Cheshire and Merseyside ICS promote these practices, please visit: www.be-cybersavvy.co.uk.
