Celebrating Liverpool Women’s Wonderful Volunteers

Each year the Volunteer Team at Liverpool Women’s Hospital host a celebratory event to say a special thank you to all of the volunteers who dedicate their time and support to the Trust.

In total those who volunteer at Liverpool Women’s give approximately 12,000 hours of their time each year to support the services delivered whilst helping to enhance the overall journey of patients who pass through the doors.

This year, to say thank you, the volunteers received a high tea afternoon in the Atrium of the Blair Bell Education Centre of the hospital, served by the Board of Directors as a token of their gratitude.

Gina Barr, Volunteers Manager at Liverpool Women’s sad “We are truly blessed to have such a fantastic diverse team of volunteers who are dedicated to enhancing our patient’s journey – we wouldn’t do without them.”

Each in attendance received a certificate of hours they have given with some receiving long service awards and others for Volunteer of the Year, Volunteer of the Month, Mentor of the Year presented by special guest The Right Worshipful, The Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Cllr Christine Bank and members of the Board of Directors.

Also in attendance at the event with the Volunteer Service were the League of Friends, The Newborn Appeal and Chaplains.

Thank you to those who provided prizes for the free to enter raffle prize draw. These prizes included a family pass to David Lloyd Leisure, Coast vouchers, Radio City family tour, afternoon teas for two at the Shankley Hotel and Alma DeCuba, family pass for Mattel Play and a Town Hall Tour for two, plus many more prizes.
