There will be some disruption to road and foot access at Liverpool Women's from Wednesday 20th April for 7 weeks

In order to facilitate the drainage and infrastructure works for the Crown Street Enhancement Programme / MRI scanner Project there will be upcoming road works including one lane closure at the Liverpool Women’s Crown Street site, this also includes no foot access to a section of the footpath adjacent to Neonatal Unit.

These works are due to commence on Wednesday 20th April for 7 weeks.

The site map image below indicates the exact location of the works to be carried out including the position of the one lane closure.  During these works there will be no foot access to a section of the footpath adjacent to the Neonatal Unit and appropriate signage will be in place advising of the alternative foot access route.

In summary:

  • Works due to commence Wednesday 20th April for 7 weeks.
  • Localised disruption to road and foot access adjacent to the Neonatal Unit (NICU)
  • There will be a 24/7 traffic light system in place
  • Access for staff, patients, visitors, blood couriers & deliveries will not be affected as access is still being granted but there may be delays with access.
  • Full resurfacing and road lining will be undertaken once these works are complete.

We apologise for any disruption this may cause and should there be any issues with either the road works or traffic light system you can contact  PALS https://www.liverpoolwomens.nhs.uk/patients/pals-comments-suggestions-complaints/
