New Dad Craig proposed to his long term girlfriend just hours after she gave birth at Liverpool Women’s Hospital with the help of Midwife, Jo Boyd.
New father Craig had been planning the proposal for over two months and made sure he was prepared when Claire went into labour. Instead of opting for the conventional proposal, Craig let his brand new baby boy Logan, deliver the message. Craig had secretly designed a gorgeous baby grow with the words ‘mummy will you marry daddy’ on which he had printed and kept safe in his pocket throughout Claire’s labour.
Midwife Jo Boyd, said “I was made aware that Craig was intending to propose on the nightshift handover and I was thrilled to be a part of this special occasion. I managed to pull Craig to one side and we had a little chat about what we would do. Not long after Claire delivered, myself and Craig secretly dressed Logan in his special baby grow and presented him to Claire. It was a beautiful moment. There was a buzz of excitement on the Delivery suite all day as we were all anticipating the big reveal. We love anything like this, it gives us a lovely boost and we are all over the moon for them both”.
Claire who has been together with Craig for 15 years said she had no idea he was going to propose “we had talked about it over the year’s and he’s asked for my ring size a couple of times but I never thought anything of it. I was so shocked when I saw the message on Logan’s baby grow, I burst into tears and said yes”.
