LWH Charity launches 'Help Your LWH Staff' appeal

Please help raise funds to support LWH and its staff during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

LWH is under increased pressure during the current pandemic. The hospital cannot and will not stop caring for people. The nurses, midwifes, doctors and the army of support staff are going above and beyond to make sure that this outstanding care continues.

During this difficult time we have all been instructed to stay in our homes and work from home (where possible), our daily lives are currently restricted with further measures introduced by the Government to tackle COVID-19, but our amazing staff won't be. We are still delivering babies, caring for women, caring for the sickest babies and giving Mum's to be the best possible care and birth experience. They have to be there for us all, and they will be with your help.

LWH Charity is asking for your help to support the hospital and its amazing people. All donations will help fund staff wellbeing and we will be looking to provide comfort boxes of food and toiletries to give our staff a boost. Unfortunately, due to restrictions the hospital cannot accept physical donations or gifts. Instead, they are encouraging people to donate money so that the hospital can best decide where the help goes.

Kate Davis, Head of Fundraising said: "It's truly incredible how many people want to support our fantastic NHS staff and I want to thank their kindness in advance. With their support we can help the hospital and its patients through these uncertain times."

To donate and support our nurses, midwives, doctors and support staff, please visit our Justgiving page and leave a message.
