Improving the Patient Journey: Changes for Pregnant Women accessing Maternity Services during pregnancy

From Monday, March 4th the Trust will be implementing changes to the way pregnant women access maternity services depending on the stage of their pregnancy. See full details below:

- Pregnant women less than 17 weeks and 6 days gestation will be advised to attend the Gynaecology Emergency Department (GED). Ground Floor.

- Pregnant women who are 18 weeks and beyond will attend the Maternity Assessment Unit (MAU). 1st Floor.

The changes aim to streamline the way women access our services, ensuring they receive the best possible care for their stage of pregnancy.
If you have any questions about this change, please feel free to speak to a member of staff during your next appointment or visit to the hospital.
