The Physiotherapy Team at Liverpool Women’s work within the wider Multi-disciplinary team, supporting women with their pelvic health symptoms.
As Pelvic Health Specialist Physiotherapists we treat a wide variety of conditions women may experience with their pelvic health throughout their lifetime. The main issues women present with are symptoms around continence, both bladder and bowel. Continence means being able to voluntarily control emptying the bladder and bowels effectively, in a socially acceptable place and in a hygienic way suitable to that person. Unfortunately, sometimes we can experience difficulties with these processes that we may have once taken for granted.
Any pelvic health dysfunction can have detrimental effects on a woman’s self-esteem, health, wellbeing and physical performance. This is where we, as specialist physiotherapists, can help you understand, navigate, manage and improve the symptoms you are experiencing.
