Baby Loss Awareness Week 2021

Baby Loss Awareness Week 2021

Baby Loss Awareness Week takes place between 9th and 15th October annually. The aim of the week is to raise awareness about pregnancy and baby loss in the UK. Bereaved families, healthcare professionals, support organisations and volunteers come together to remember babies who have died during any stage of pregnancy, at or soon after birth and in infancy.

Traditionally Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust has held an annual baby remembrance service that is organised by our Honeysuckle Bereavement Team. However given the on-going situation with the global pandemic the decision has been made to once again hold our service virtually.

The Honeysuckle Team have worked hard to record a beautiful virtual service of remembrance which will be available to view over on the Honeysuckle page at 6.pm on Friday, 15th October 2021. This will then be followed by the national Wave of Light at 7.pm.

We hope by sharing the recording at this time our families will feel united and come together to watch this special service in memory of all those beautiful babies taken too soon.

If you wish to contact The Honeysuckle Team for support or advice please contact them directly on 0151 702 4151 / honeysuckle@lwh.nhs.uk during their office hours of Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm.
