Background:
Helen worked primarily as a primary care GP principal in Liverpool, prior to completing her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She completed a postgraduate certificate in clinical risk management, and was appointed by Liverpool Women’s Hospital Foundation Trust as a consultant Obstetrician with a special interest in clinical risk management. She has lead development of Obstetric high dependency care within the trust which has improved outcomes and patient experience. She leads a multidisciplinary team caring for women with mental health issues.

With her experience in primary care she recognises that pregnancy is a key lifetime opportunity to improve the long tern health of women and their families and is well placed to integrated working with community and other agencies to deal with wider health issues.
