Baby Loss Awareness Week 2020
Baby Loss Awareness Week takes place between 9th and 15th October annually. The aim of the week is to raise awareness about pregnancy and baby loss in the UK. Bereaved families, healthcare professionals, support organisations and volunteers come together to remember babies who have died during any stage of pregnancy, at or soon after birth and in infancy.
Traditionally Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust have held an annual baby remembrance service that is organised by our Honeysuckle Bereavement Team.
Sadly, given current circumstances with Covid-19, and in keeping with Government guidance we are unable to hold our service.
Therefore, the Honeysuckle Team have recorded a virtual service of remembrance which will be available to view here, from midday Friday, 9th October 2020.
You can also remember your baby/babies virtually during Baby Loss Awareness Week. Please follow the link below for our virtual Lanterns of Love page. You can light a lantern and leave a message in memory of your baby / babies. You are able to make a donation to our charitable fund on the web page, however this is not compulsory:
If you wish to contact The Honeysuckle Team for support or advice please contact them directly on 0151 702 4151 / firstname.lastname@example.org during their office hours of Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm.
