As we head toward the close of 2012 I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our staff and volunteers for the incredible work that they do day in and day out for our patients and their families.
I am incredibly proud of the care that you deliver to ensure our patients feel cared for and safe at the most vulnerable times in their lives.
2011/12 has not been without its challenges but we have also had many things to celebrate as outlined in the publication '100 Reasons to be proud of Liverpool Women's in 2011/12'.
I am sure the New Year will bring many new challenges but I am absolutely confident that there will be many more reasons to be proud.
I hope you all have a happy Christmas and New Year. With a very special thank you to those of you who will be working across the festive period.
