Chief Executive

A warm welcome to a our very special visitor

My job is always so varied, giving me the opportunity to meet a wide range of people involved in different aspects of women's health and wellbeing. In the past week Liverpool Women's has hosted a meeting for colleagues from across the country who provide women's health services. Liverpool Women's is fairly unique in being one of only two Trusts in the whole of the UK dedicated to the care of women.

I have attended a meeting with the University of Liverpool and other NHS Chief Executives locally, to focus on health research across our organisations. Then I met with colleagues from Blackburne House, a local training led organisation, which offers full and part time learning opportunities for women, to explore working more closely together to benefit women.

Also this week, we are excited to be hosting a visit from Dame Christine Beasley, CBE, Chief Nursing Officer and Director General at the Department of Health. Chris is known for her passion and dedication to delivering fantastic health services to patients. Her visit gives us the opportunity to show her some of the great work that goes on at Liverpool Women's by our very special staff.
