Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust focuses on patient experience and the Trust is always striving for innovative ways of improving patient experience. One area which the Trust has identified could be improved for our patient’s is ensuring their crucial outpatient appointments are not missed through a lack of reminders.
In an effort to assist our patient's Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust are planning to launch an SMS text reminder service on the 1st December 2013.
SMS texts can be sent in large numbers, easily customised and provide a reliable service, reminding patients of scheduled appointments. The Trust has determined certain services it provides would not benefit from the reminder messages due to issues of confidentially and no patients under the age of 18 will be sent them.

If a patient of Liverpool Women's Hospital does not wish to receive text reminder messages they can decline the service. Patients can speak to any member of staff or email the following address for further information - lwft.InfoSysHelpdesk@nhs.net.
No appointment reminder messages will be sent out until the 1st December 2013.
