A busy start to the year

The hospital has been very busy this week and our staff have coped amazingly well.  On Friday morning one of our local Members of Parliament Louise Ellman came into the hospital and visited our maternity unit and neonatal unit.

It is great to see so many of our patients and our staff interact with us through various social media.  It is a real opportunity to widen communication, visibility and I hope engagement with staff and the public.

The Liverpool Echo have this week featured Liverpool Women's in a number of stories.  One is our very own Andy Craven.  Andy works in our finance department at Liverpool Women's and unfortunately he and his wife suffered the agony of a stillbirth some years ago, Andy has bravely told his story from a man and a dad's perspective and is collaborating with others to write a book that will hopefully support others through the trauma of stillbirth. You can read about the story here.

The Echo also published a heart-warming story on how our Hewitt Fertility services helped a family from Warrington achieve the baby they'd always wanted just in time for Christmas. You can read about the story here.

Have a great weekend.
