Council of Governors

Members' views and interests are represented through our Council of Governors. It's part of the job of the Council to collate members' views and advise Liverpool Women's on how best to develop patient services.

There are 22 Governors who are elected by public members, staff and local organisations such as the universities. They meet four times a year and represent the interest of all members. Governors are active on many committees and focus groups and have a range of specific duties, including the appointment of the Trust's auditor, monitoring the Trust's performance, consulting on strategic plans, appointing a new chair & non-executive directors of the board and deciding how much they are paid.
