Research User Group

We are committed to the active involvement of patients, their carers, potential users of the service and the wider public in our research.

Listening is important to us

The Trust’s Research User Group was founded in 2009 to ensure that the views of members are taken on-board to both improve the quality of our research studies as well as making sure the work is useful, relevant and of high quality.
Group members can become involved in various stages of the research process from identifying, prioritising and designing projects, to analysing, interpreting and cascading results. The group is open to all regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity or disability.

Participate in our specialities

As a member of the Research User Group you are free to contribute to projects within our specialities, which are:

  • Maternity
  • Gynaecology
  • Neonatal care
  • Fertility
  • Genetics
  • Anaesthetics & Critical Care

The group is completely voluntary and members can choose how much time they would like to contribute - this can be as often or as little as the member wishes.  Members are also free to leave the group at any time. If you would like more information or are interested in volunteering, please contact us via email research@lwh.nhs.uk.

Involve provides further information on becoming involved with research.
