Endometriosis clinic

The clinic is a dedicated specialist clinic run by one of our Gynaecologist with the expertise in the management of endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain.

What will happen

In the Endometriosis clinic you will be seen by our Endometriosis Specialist Nurse before going on to see the clinician if required in your same visit. You will be provided with all the information and leaflets related to your condition. You may go through some assessment forms which will help identify the correct treatment for your symptoms.  Investigations will be organised and the treatment options available will be discussed with you. At your next appointment the results are reviewed, you will get an opportunity to ask questions and a decision is made about preferred treatment options.

The service offers specialist advanced keyhole surgical intervention for the excision and removal of endometriosis lumps provided by our Multidisciplinary team of specialists: Gynaecologists, Colorectal Surgeon and Urologist.

How to be seen in this clinic

To be seen in our Endometriosis clinic please request a referral from your GP to the Liverpool Women’s Endometriosis clinic.

Location and clinic times

Endometriosis clinics are held each Wednesday and Thursday between 9am and 11:30am in the Gynaecology outpatients department at Liverpool Women’s, Crown Street site.

If you need to rearrange or cancel your appointment, please contact Gynaecology Access Centre on 0151 702 4328 (option 1), between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
