Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust is looking for people across Merseyside and beyond to become actively involved in shaping its future.
The Trust is looking for anyone who has an interest in women's health services to stand in its upcoming governor elections.
Ken Morris, Chairman at Liverpool Women's said: "Being one of our Governors means you could play a real part in helping to shape our services for women, babies and families of all generations, as well as being our link with your community."
The Trust has vacant governor seats all across Merseyside and beyond and is calling on residents in the region to take an active role in how the hospital is run by becoming a member of the Trust and then putting themselves forward for election.
Dorothy Zack-Williams, Lead Governor for the Trust, said: "I am passionate about women's health and I know that we have many people in the area who feel the same. These elections are a chance for those people who share my passion to take an active role in ensuring that communities across Liverpool have an understanding of what the Liverpool Women's does. Women are still viewed as a minority group in some quarters but we have the opportunity to change that, after all a healthy woman means happy and healthy families."
"Becoming a member of the Trust is easy, simply fill in a short online form within the Membership section of the website. We will then keep you up to date with all that is going on at the Trust and invite you to stand for governor."
Elections will take place for public seats in North Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton and the Rest of England & Wales as well as for staff in the Doctors & Midwives categories.
Nomination forms will be available to download from 5th September, with a deadline for submission of 20th September.
