In a joint statement with the Trust today, Edna Robinson announced her resignation as non-executive Chair of Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust.
She said: "I have decided today to step down as the Chair of the Trust. The last few months have been a difficult period for me personally. It has been a privilege to work at this unique hospital with a well-deserved, world-wide reputation for its many and varied services to women and their families and a special place in the heart of the people of Merseyside. I am a big supporter of our Future Generations work which is exploring how we can respond to the changing needs of women and families, and I look forward to seeing the successful outcome of this work"
The Board added: "We would like to thank Edna for her contribution during her tenure as chair and wish her the very best for the future."
