Health Professionals

Liverpool Women’s is one of only two specialist Foundation Trusts in the UK dedicated to the healthcare of women and babies. We provide clinical expertise and patient services in maternity, gynaecology, neonatal care, fertility, and clinical genetics. Our history marks a relentless commitment to the advancement of women’s healthcare, spanning more than 200 years.

Partnership approach

We recognise the importance of working in close partnership with all health professionals locally and nationally with the aim of improving the joint care we deliver to patients. We keep health professionals informed of the latest developments happening within the Trust through events and professional training.

Standards of care

A primary goal is to deliver the highest possible standards of care and our clinical and quality performance is monitored very closely and reported on year on year. In addition, robust systems are in place to monitor the effectiveness of infection prevention and control practices and to monitor the number of infections that occur.

Staying ahead

Innovation in patient care is ongoing within Liverpool Women’s which is why clinical research is a major part of the Trust’s work. It means we can continually improve the healthcare we provide to our patients and develop new and improved treatments and medications. Also as a teaching hospital, we work closely with the University of Liverpool to deliver the highest standards of undergraduate and post-graduate medical education and training.
